Michael Lamy who is a Certified Adove Instructor here in Kansas City, presented an exceptional program called RE-THINK retouching. It delt with spending fewer hours processing your photographs, while achieving the same – or greater – quality. We talked about planning ahead, and exceeding, not just meeting, client expectations in regards to retouching. In attendance were 36 photo entusiasts. They consisted of sevaral members, and a large turnout of over 20 non-members and students.
We had a great turnout for out come-in-out-of-the-cold photography evening at Waldo Pizza. Several new members took advantage of this informal evening to make some new friends and introduce their new faces to the chapter. Topics were wide-ranging but, as always, photo related and since there was no set agenda for the night everyone had a chance to contribute and share ideas and ask questions.
Join us the last Tuesday of the month at Axois in Brookside, 8:30-10 am, for a roundtable discussion of all things photography. Next meeting is Tuesday April 29th.
Come enjoy an in-depth discussion on Gloria Baker Feinstein's life in photography. On her way to becoming one of the most noted photographic artists in the Midwest and nationally, she has succeeded in complementing her art with work as a commercial portrait photographer. The presentation will be comprised of a slideshow as well as prints of photographs from throughout her career.
